Fellowships //
Women's Imaging
-
Larmor Medical provides a comprehensive one-year fellowship in women's imaging which is currently structured with 6 to 8 months of breast imaging and 3 to 5 months of reproductive imaging, depending on the preferences/skill level of the fellow. Adjustments can be made as needed.
-
1 month will be spent on clinical rotation with a breast surgeon in order to provide the fellow with greater depth in relevant multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.
-
Fellows engage in a hands-on learning experience across the full spectrum of breast imaging modalities. This includes the analysis of screening and diagnostic digital mammography, 3D/Tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI. With the guidance of experienced attending radiologists, fellows also gain proficiency in a variety of interventional procedures.
-
The reproductive imaging portion of the fellowship will focus on pelvic MRI, pelvic ultrasound, hysterosalpingography, and fetal imaging during all stages of gestation.
-
An integral part of the fellowship is the active participation in and preparing the weekly breast radiology/pathology conference. Additionally, fellows are encouraged to engage in clinical research. Currently, available research projects are focused primarily on the potential impacts of artificial intelligence on radiology.
-
We do not currently participate in the Society of Breast Imaging sponsored National Residency Match Program. This may change in the near future. However, we do utilize the same curriculum and elements of the same universal application found here.
